Hi there! My name is Ruby Canning and I am the photographer behind Mavstar Photography.
I am from a long line of beef producers, and I have grown up to adore the land and the livestock industry. I specialise in livestock and rural photography, and I love capturing the little moments of the day to day farm lifestyle that are often missed. Especially the gentle connections which farmers share with their livestock. I was inspired by my late grandfather, who cherished his cattle herd, to follow my passion of sharing rural stories, and capturing photos which convey emotion and connection to the rural Australian way of life.
I currently reside in Armidale, as I am in my final year of my Bachelor of Business with a major in Marketing. At the completion of my degree I will be traveling to Canada and America to explore the beef industry as I was a 2019 Global BBM Scholar.
